FIRE SAFETY TRAINING
Fire Safety Training enables employees to recognise workplace fire risks and understand how to respond safely in an emergency, including how to choose and use the appropriate fire extinguisher.
With the right training, staff can prevent many hazards and act quickly and effectively if a fire occurs. Our training also ensures employees understand fire safety procedures and how to follow your organisation’s specific fire safety policies.
Why you need Fire Safety Training in the workplace:
All employees are legally required to receive basic fire safety training during induction and at regular intervals thereafter, typically on an annual basis in most workplaces. This training must be delivered by a competent person who has appropriate fire safety knowledge, skills, and experience.
What do you need specifically?
There’s no fixed rule for how often staff must complete fire safety training; this depends on company policy and Fire Risk Assessment recommendations. Certificates are typically renewed every three years, with annual refreshers recommended.
All staff should receive fire safety training at induction. Any new fire risks must be communicated, and fire drills should take place at least once a year. Your Fire Risk Assessment will specify the type and frequency of training needed for different employees.

What extinguisher training do we provide?
Our accredited fire safety training courses incorporate learning related to the identification and correct use of appropriate fire extinguishing media.
We provide fully equipped training as part of our course costs. This will include real fire and real extinguishers incorporating practical training in their correct and safe use.
Why do we do this?
Because most people (thankfully) have never experienced a real fire and do not have the confidence to operate a fire extinguisher, particularly in a real incident.
We give you the training and more importantly the confidence to choose the correct extinguisher and use it effectively and safely.
